Under 10 miles an hour you feel the tread, over 10 you only feel it in the corners. So basically what I am trying to say is they ride rough, they bite hard, and still allow me to haul a**. So I felt as if I had to find a tire that would get me everywhere I need to be without adding a lot of weight. My local parks allow trucks and they just destroy all hope of enjoying the outdoors and end up riding around in what feels like a dump site. I am a trail enthusiast but unfortunetely I find mud holes addicting and constantly in my way. A true mud tire will only perform well in the mud and a good trail tire will only perform well on trails. Okay, I think anyone who is looking for a trail/ mud tire should realize they do not exist. Not sure how much is really related to the actual weight difference. More probably because of the 10" width on the fronts (which I will talk about a little later). Although the X- lites are supposedly 5.06lbs heavier then the stock setup in the rear and 7.06lbs heavier then the front. I did not have time to weight them but surprisingly enough I could not tell much of a difference in weight between the X-lites and my stockers. Simply uninstalled the stockers and threw on the fun. The tires and wheels came to me shipped ready to go. It is by no means the narliest tire out there but definitely gets the point across on that front. Score range is from 1 being worthless and 10 being, well, nothing's better.įirst off let's discuss looks, I mean whether or not we want to admit it we all want the more aggressive tire as long as it does what we ask it to, regardless of what type of riding we do. Just a note I have never given a review before but have read plent so I will try my best. Well as you know I decided to go with 28x10x12 X-lites on 14" HD3 Wheels. (see- finally, ready for new wheels and tires thread below) I had spoken to a few of you here in regards to what tires I should run, what size, which wheel, etc.
